Anesthesiology
A specialized physician trained in the use of medications for patient care before, during and after procedures. Anesthesiologists ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the ambulatory surgery center experience.

Gastroenterology / Digestive Health
Also known as a GI (gastrointestinal) specialist, this physician is trained to perform such procedures as colonoscopies and upper GI endoscopies. These procedures allow the physician to visualize the upper and lower part of the gastrointestinal tract to check for unusual ulcers, tumors, polyp and blood vessels.
Hand Surgery
Hand surgeons may be a part of the practice of general surgery, orthopaedic surgery, and/or plastic and reconstructive surgery. Procedures that a hand surgeon may perform are: tennis elbow repair, carpal tunnel release, tendon repairs, fracture care, wrist arthroscopy and removal of lesions.
Orthopaedic Surgery
Orthopaedic surgeons are concerned with acute, chronic, traumatic and recurrent injuries as well as other disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Our orthopaedic surgeons do the following procedures: arthroscopic surgery of shoulders and knees, open and closed reduction of dislocations and fractures and arthrodesis (surgical fixation of a joint to promote bone fusion), to name a few.
Otolaryngology (ENT)
Otolaryngologists, referred to as Ear, Nose, and Throat, or ENT, monitor the health and treatment of the ear, larynx (throat), nose and upper respiratory tract. Often ENTs are trained in facial, cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. The ENT physicians at our center perform functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS), sinuplasty,cochlear implantation, tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy.
Pain Mangement
This specialty is concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries and pain syndromes, typically of the spine. Pain medicine specialtists at Waverley are physiatrists. The pain medicine specialists at Waverley typically provide epidural injections of the spine with pain reducing agents and selective nerve root blocks.
Podiatry
Podiatrists assess, treat and perform surgery of the foot and ankle. Podiatrists can repair Achilles tendon injuries, heel and ankle problems, bunionectomies (remove painful bunions) or correct hammertoes, which are toes permanently flexed downward..
